We were completely taken with this anemometer. It is a work of modern, industrial art. However, building one of these ourselves at this time was beyond the purview of this project and the amount of time we could devote to it.
This anemometer is the creation of Don and Carla Goyette of the Starview Ranch in Colorado. It was constructed from a bicycle wheel and nine cereal bowls. This unit and several others can be seen on this page of their website at:
