The parts for these replica toys are hand-cast. Apprentices do base paint and more mundane details. Painters hand paint important details. Distressed finish is layered on and the final step is a hand rub with dark colored beeswax. Made entirely from heavy cast-iron. Wheels turn -- can be played with by a child.
