The real thing! Using sharp chisels craftsmen cut the steel plates into shape. Apprentices do base paint and more mundane details. Painters hand paint important details. Distressed finish is layered on and the final step is a hand rub with dark colored beeswax. Slight push sets the sculpture in motion. Eye moves as the moon rocks back and forth. These balance toys are true originals.
